The “State of Play” for Crimes Affecting the Environment
This Knowledge Dialogue, held at the Permanent Mission of Germany, focused on global negotiations addressing “crimes affecting the environment.” This event was also co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Germany and Brazil.
Since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Government of France, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) have co-convened “Knowledge Dialogues” at the United Nations headquarters to engage diplomats and policy makers on the latest science, ongoing negotiations, and key challenges for nature in multilateral fora, together demonstrating the fundamental importance of nature to the attainment of the SDGs.
